Mushroom Walks

Celebrate Fall with a two-hour, forest immersion, outdoor, interactive class to learn about native, edible, medicinal, beautiful, bizarre mushrooms. You will learn how to identify over 30 different mushrooms in their natural habitat, ethical foraging practices and safety precautions. Please note, there is no foraging allowed during class; this is a guided educational walk only so please do not bring a basket, but do bring a notebook!

Cost: $60pp or $45 BIPOC/LGBTQIA+

What to bring: A notebook and clothes and shoes you can get wet and dirty.

Kids are welcome. Ages 12 and under are free. Trails are not wheel accessible, no strollers or wagons allowed, and young children need to be carried.

No dogs please.

Mobility limitations: Classes include moderately uneven terrain, a sometimes narrow trail, mud, and some hills. If you have mobility limitations, please contact me about a private walk to ensure an accessible location.

About your Teacher

Kaela Koepke is a Nature Guide specializing in PNW native plants and mushrooms. She is well acquainted with over 100 native, edible, medicinal plants and over 100 native edible, medicinal, beautiful, bizarre mushrooms. She is also a Nature Therapist and Mental Health Therapist and is passionate about helping people hear nature with their heart and spirit. Come geek out in the forest and discover the magic of nature, there is so much to see!
