Oregon Grape’s active ingredient is Berberine, a compound found in the popular naturopathic herb Goldenseal, and is a powerful antimicrobial that kills and repels bacteria, viruses, fungus and any other unwanted microbes. It helps with UTIs, yeast infections, gastrointestinal problems, boosts the immune system, restores microbial balance and much more.

Oregon Grape is a sacred PNW native plant that grows profusely in our area. In Salish culture, Oregon Grape symbolizes resilience and adaptability. Spiritually, I think of Oregon Grape as being protective and having similar energy as the Evil Eye, repelling anything negative that intends to harm. Emotionally, the bright yellow medicine corresponds to the solar plexus chakra and supports personal power in the face of hardship, increasing resiliency.
