Mental Health Therapy

Kaela Koepke, MS, LMHCA

I love working with women who are walking through darkness. I am here to provide a safe, supportive space for you to be vulnerable, unpack your dark parts, make sense of what you’re going through, and find your way. I am a guide in the darkness to help you get to where you want to be.

I am a Somatic Therapist, which means that I help you identify where and how you hold and block emotions and energy in your body. I help you see the connections between your body, mind, heart, behavior, and spirit. Processing pain on all these levels amplifies change and growth.

I am a Trauma Therapist, which means that I understand how trauma creates an underlying feeling of not being safe in the world. Your body and mind are hyper aware of all the potential dangers around you. We work together to make sense of what has happened, how it impacts your life today, and how to move through it to create the life you want, so that you can enjoy your life.

I am a Nature Therapist, which means I offer Outdoor Nature Therapy sessions in addition to or to supplement traditional therapy. Sometimes talking in nature feels safer; it regulates the nervous system. We talk about what elements, trees, plants, animals, and ecosystems you are drawn to as they relate to what you are working through.

I actively address systems of oppression that contribute to suffering with the understanding that we do not live in a vacuum and can’t just pull ourselves up by our bootstraps. We talk about racism, classism, sexism, sizeism, ableism, homophobia, privilege, white supremacy, patriarchy, misogyny, colonization, capitalism, etc.

I coach coping skills to equip you with tools to navigate triggers. I help you shed old ways of being that once helped you, but now work against you. I help you reconnect with your true self, higher self, younger self, future self, your strengths, and intuition. I help you come home to yourself.

  • I am a PNW native, white passing cis bi woman (she/her pronouns), raised by a white mother and Persian father. I am a mountain mama, witchy, hippy. My practice summed up in one word:

Heart

“Your heart is the size of an ocean. Go find yourself in its hidden depths.”

“As you live deeper in the heart, the mirror gets clearer and cleaner.”

“Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.”
